David Price Signed Derek Jeter 3,000th Hit Game Used Hat "I Gave Up DJ's 3k"

$2,999.00

Presented is a Tampa Bay Rays baseball hat used by former Rays ace David Price when he gave up a home run to New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter for Jeter's 3,000th career hit on Jul. 9 during the 2011 MLB season. Not a single seat was occupied when Jeter came up to bat in the bottom of the 3rd inning, sitting on 2,999 career hits after hitting a single in his first at-bat. As the fans chanted his name, Price threw a full-count slider that Jeter scooped into the air towards the left-center field fence. His 3rd home run of the season, Jeter became the first Yankee to join the 3,000 hit-club, becoming just the second player in MLB history (joining former teammate Wade Boggs) to homer for 3,000. Price has signed the offered hat, penning his flowing signature in silver marker across the top of the brim and adding the inscription "I Gave UP DJ's 3k." The hat has some mold spots. Has the appropriate tagging of MLB Authentic Collection, New Era, and the size of "7 ½" is attached the inside of the hat's sweatband. The hat comes with a Letter of Provenance signed by Price and from Steiner for signature and game use.
