When the Yankees won the 1958 World Series, it was their 18th championship, but their FIRST as New York's only Major League baseball team, as the Dodgers and Giants had already moved out West.  The leading slugger on the team - Mickey Mantle - paced the Bombers in batting (.304), homers (42), and RBI (97).  This Hillerich & Bradsby K55 Mickey Mantle game issued Bat sources from the 1958 labeling period, measures 34.0 inches, weighs 33.3 ounces and features the standard finish.  Although this uncracked Model K55 shows no game use, it is however signed by teammate Roger Maris early in his career, who would join the Yankees two years later and outslug "The Mick" en route to his record 61 home runs in 1961. The bat has mounting screws on both ends, the year "1958" and " A's" (Maris's team) written in marker on the knob. Comes with PSA LOA for the autograph; and a PSA LOA stating that it's a Mantle Pro Model bat.
