1941 New York Yankees World Series Champs Team Signed Baseball JSA COA

$6,495.00

It was all New York Yankees in 1941. Well, almost all. There was Ted Williams and his .406 batting average, who was snubbed in the MVP voting, in favor of media darling Joe DiMaggio and his unbelievable 56-game hitting streak. Though Williams (10.4 WAR, .533 OBP) actually had the better season, it's understandable that he had to take a back seat to "Joltin' Joe", whose feat may be the greatest in baseball history.

The Yankees won 101 games in 1941. All three of their outfielders, AL MVP DiMaggio, Tommy Henrich, and Charlie "King Kong" Keller, blasted 30 or more homers (the only time that's ever been done), Phil Rizzuto was the SABR Rookie of the Year, the pitching staff was flat out dominant, six of their players were selected as All-Stars, and of course, the "Bombers" won the World Series.

Celebrate this marvelous season, with this 1941 New York Yankees team-signed baseball. While most of the factory labeling stamps are well-faded, the ball is identified as a Reach OAL model, and the date "1943" is faintly written to the left of the reverse sweet spot. Of the (25) total autographs, (6) are Hall of Famers, and (10) are prominent stars, and/or long-deceased players. Keep reminding yourself, that Joe DiMaggio signed this ball during the season of his 56-game hitting streak, making a truly sacred historic relic.
