1983 Isiah Thomas Detroit Pistons Signed Game Used Converse Sneakers JSA MEARS

$4,995.00

Offered is a pair of Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas signed game-worn sneakers, circa 1983-1984. The sneakers originate from a former Detroit Pistons ball boy, who served in the role for three seasons from 1983-1986. He has provided a letter of provenance detailing their history. After games, he would ask players for their shoes. While most players would say no, some said yes, including Thomas. The sneakers (size 11.5), a pair of white and blue canvas Converse Fastbreak, display heavy wear. A black labeling tag reading "Isiah" is affixed to the right sneaker. There is a small tear along the right sneaker's toe box. Thomas has signed both sneakers in black ink. He has added his uniform number "11" below each signature. Isiah Thomas joined the Detroit Pistons in the 1981-1982 season. A twelve-time All-Star Game selection (all with the Pistons), Thomas averaged 19.2 points and 9.3 assists per game throughout his thirteen-year career. In 1996 the Pistons honored Thomas's accomplishments and contributions to the team by retiring his number "11." He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000. Full LOA from MEARS. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
