The Finest Babe Ruth autographed baseball bat c.1933 (PSA/DNA 9 MINT).
Tremendous high condition specimen was one of a documented population having been signed by Ruth as presentational awards for a marketing contest in the early 1930s. As is the case with the offered example, the bats were all Louisville Slugger model 40 BR bats with gilt impressed "Powerized" stamping near the centerbrand area. Each bat has a section of the top layer finish removed to which Ruth would grace the treated area with his signature. In the case of this particular bat it presents in stunning original condition to the date it had been signed. The bat itself retains it original rich brown patina with stampings boldy legible. The reverse panel of the barrel reveals the aforementioned signature area showcasing a black fountain pen signature measuring almost 3 1/2" in length. Includes full LOAs from JSA and PSA/DNA (9 MINT)
