Campanella inscribed "Best Wishes" and the date of "Oct. 19, 1955," in blue ink, meaning this signature occurred a mere two weeks after Campanella and the Brooklyn Dodgers finally defeated their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees in the 1955 World Series, which stands as the Dodgers' only World Series title won during their tenure in New York City.
