Widely considered to be the greatest catcher of the first half of the twentieth century, Hartnett is best remembered today for his dramatic "Homer in the Gloaming" during the Chicago Cubs thrilling and ultimately successful late-season charge toward the 1938 National League pennant. Hartnett inscribed this Official National League (Giles) ball across a side panel in brilliant blue ballpoint. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM+ 7.5.
