No man who ever stepped foot on a baseball field carried more expectations or faced more animosity than Jackie Robinson. With the odds stacked up against him, Jackie's spectacular 1947 rookie season forever shattered the color line in baseball and, in turn, helped usher in the Civil Rights Movement. He was 1947's Rookie of the Year and then the National League's MVP in 1949. His fire and drive propelled the Brooklyn Dodgers to six pennants and one World Championship, and inspired a whole generation of young ballplayers, both black and white.
This offered 1940's Dubow 743 baseball glove is signed and inscribed by Robinson in black ink. Robinson placed his signature and the inscription "Best Wishes" just above the palm of the glove near the finger. The glove is accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA for the signature and inscription.
