President Ronald Reagan Single Signed Baseball PSA DNA COA & White House Letter
$11,995.00
Few presidential collectibles capture the intersection of American history and America’s national pastime quite like this Ronald Reagan single-signed Official American League Baseball. Reagan remains one of America’s most popular and influential presidents, with authentic single-signed baseballs exceptionally scarce. What elevates this example is its extraordinary firsthand provenance. Accompanying the ball is a September 10, 1992 letter from Frederick J. Ryan Jr., Reagan’s Chief of Staff, explaining the shakiness of Reagan’s signature: it was “a bit bumpy as I asked him to sign it while we were in the plane. Unfortunately, we encountered some turbulence at the time.” Talk about provenance! The letter documents exactly why this distinctive signature appears as it does, and confirms it was signed aboard an airplane during turbulence. A remarkable crossover of presidential history, Americana and baseball, worthy of an advanced collection. Includes PSA/DNA LOA, Ryan provenance letter and corresponding envelope.
