North panel: Chuck Thompson (d.2005), Hall of Fame Frick Award winning sportscaster; Jack Harshman (d.2013), MLB pitcher; Eddie Rommel (d.1970), one of Connie Mack's aces on the 1929 A's championship team and later an MLB umpire; Mickey Vernon, (d.2008) 7X MLB All-Star; Ray Brown (d.2001) with "Colts" inscription, played just three seasons in the NFL, but won back-to-back championships with the Colts in 1958-1959;

West panel: Rocky Marciano (d.1969), the only heavyweight boxing champion to retire with an undefeated record; Eddie Robinson, solid slugger who played for seven of the eight pre-1961 expansion American League teams, still kicking at the age of 100 as the MLB's oldest living player.
