At eighty years old, just a year before his 1972 passing, "Beauty" Bancroft finally realized his dream of Cooperstown enshrinement, ensuring that future generations of collectors would swoon at the sight of pieces such as this. It's arguably one of the finest Bancroft singles on earth, though admittedly it's not much of a competition.
