Presented is an official American League baseball signed by former Major League catcher Ed Sweeney. Sweeney, who spent eight of his 9-year career with the New York Yankees in the early 20th century, has penned his flowing signature in black ink across one of the baseball's panels, adding the inscription "Sept 4/1914." The baseball exhibits extensive wear as is consistent with its age of more than century. The baseball comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (AF88691). There is other writing on the baseball. Possibly rare signatures.
