Extraordinary Perfect Game Pitchers Signed Baseball Complete With 18 Sigs PSA
A perfect game is perhaps the most difficult feat in all of baseball. To put the accomplishment in proper perspective, one only has to note that in the entire history of the game only twenty-three pitchers have been officially credited with achieving "perfection" on the mound. This remarkable official Major League ball features the blue-ink signatures of the following 18 members of that elite club: Don Larsen (sweet spot), Sandy Koufax, Len Barker, Catfish Hunter, David Wells, Jim Bunning, Mike Witt, David Cone, Randy Johnson, Tom Browning, Dallas Braden, Roy Halladay, Dennis Martinez, Mark Buehrle, Philip Humber, Kenny Rogers, Matt Cain, and Felix Hernandez. Each player has included the date of his perfect game below his signature. One important fact that must be noted is that of the twenty-three perfect games recorded, two were accomplished in 1880 (by Montgomery Ward and Lee Richmond) and three others (by Cy Young, Addie Joss, and Charlie Robertson) occurred between the years 1904 and 1922. Therefore, a "perfect game" ball featuring the eighteen signatures of the pitchers who accomplished the feat after 1956 is considered complete by modern-day collecting standards. This is the first complete perfect-game ball we have ever offered! To the best of our knowledge, there have been only two other examples featuring all 18 signatures offered at public auction in recent years with one realizing $26,620. The offered ball is in Near Mint condition overall. This is an exceptional signed baseball commemorating perfection on the mound, which we believe to be among the most complete and finest quality examples in existence. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
