Presented is an official American League William Harridge baseball signed by Frank "Ping" Bodie. A centerfielder for the Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, and New York Yankees from 1911 to 1921, Bodie's nickname of "Ping" was a result of the sound of his bat (rumored to be 52 ounces in weight) made when making contact with a pitch. Bodie has penned his flowing signature in blue ink across the baseball's sweet spot. The baseball comes with an LOA from Beckett for signature; the document attests to a signature removal on the ball's north panel.
