Filling the entire panel below The Bambino's magnificent application resides a spectacular original watercolor vignette of Ruth, donning his Yankees cap and pinstripes, by a talented artist with the initials "JE."
A coat of shellac was applied at some point to preserve the autograph and artwork, and it served its purpose admirably as both are incredibly bold and sharp.
