The New York Yankees traveled to West Point to face the Black Knights of the United States Army twenty-one times between 1927 and 1976, maintaining a perfect record for the entirety of that half-century. The presented Official American League (Harridge) ball derives from Babe Ruth's final participation in the event on June 11, 1934. The condition of the ball leaves us certain that it saw action in that exhibition, but the big thrill here is the autograph pairing of Ruth and Lou Gehrig together.
