The 1992 NBA All-Star Game was held in Orlando, FL. The West defeated the East 153–113, but the Feb. 9th game will forever be remembered as the "Return of Magic" three months after the Lakers legend retired due to testing positive for HIV. Johnson famously took home MVP honors after beating Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan in one-on-one showdowns and later sinking a memorable step-back three in the game's closing seconds.
Offered here is a 1992 NBA All-Star team signed official NBA All-Star Game (Orlando) Spalding basketball with 22 signatures. A total of 13 Hall of Famers have been identified including Michael Jordan (sweet spot), Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, Chris Mullin, James Worthy, Dennis Rodman, Dikembe Mutombo (recently deceased), and Don Nelson (West coach). Another very important notable is Reggie Lewis, who would die unexpectedly in July 1993 when his heart gave out on the practice court. Others recognized are Jeff Hornacek, Mark Price, Brad Daugherty, Michael Adams, and Dan Majerle. (We think we found Kevin Willis and Otis Thorpe as well, which would leave just one unidentified.)
