For sale is a Limited Edition Cooperstown Bat Company Commemorative 1975 Boston Red Sox A.L. Champions Blonde Bat signed by 26 members of the 1975 Red Sox team.
This is the team that faced the "Big Red Machine" of the Cincinnati Reds in one of the greatest World Series in baseball history, finally falling to the Reds in 7 games. In Game 6 at Fenway Park, the Red Sox, down 3 games to 2, came back to win in 12-innings on a walkoff home run that Carlton Fisk coaxed to stay fair in what has become one of the iconic moments in baseball history.
The bat has been signed in blue fiber-tip pen by: Hall of Famers Carlton Fisk, Carl Yastrzemski, and Jim Rice; Fred Lynn, Bernie Carbo, Rick Burleson, Dwight Evans, Luis Tiant, Dick Drago, Rico Petrocelli, Butch Hobson, Diego Segui, Tim Blackwell, Steve Dillard, Jim Willoughby, Cecil Cooper, Bill Lee, Rick Wise, Rick Miller, Reggie Cleveland, Doug Griffin, Denny Doyle, Dick McAuliffe, Roger Moret, Bob Montgomery, and Johnny Pesky (coach). This list includes every position player and 8 of the 9 pitchers (missing only reliever Jim Burton) who played the most games at each position in the 1967 season. It also includes all 3 current Hall of Famers on this team and 4 Red Sox who have had their numbers retired (the 3 HOFers plus Pesky).
