In the 2007 season, the Boston Red Sox finished first in the American League East with a record of 96 wins and 66 losses. In the postseason, the Red Sox first swept the American League West champion Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the ALDS. In the ALCS, the Red Sox defeated the American League Central champion Cleveland Indians in seven games, despite falling behind 3–1 in the series. Advancing to the World Series, the Red Sox swept the National League champion Colorado Rockies, to capture their second championship in four years.

Presented is a framed display celebrating the 2007 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox, with the signatures of 23 members of the team across the front of a gray Boston road jersey. The signatures, all in blue marker, include Jason Varitek, Manny Ramirez, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jonathan Papelbon and Tim Wakefield, among others. The gray jersey has the gothic letters “Boston” embroidered in red with blue borders on the front of the six-button jersey, and a red, white, blue and gold “World Series 07” logo patch sewn on the right sleeve above an embroidered “Majestic” logo in white and blue.  The jersey is mounted in a navy-blue paper matte with a black background and red and white borders, within a 36 x 44-inch wood frame with glass. There is some paint chipped off the frame in the upper right corner. The jersey is inscribed “19/50” in blue marker in the lower left front corner above the embroidered Majestic logo patch. At the bottom center of the display, resting on top of the jersey, is an 8 x 8-inch red and white patch of a pair of “Red Sox” from the team’s logo. There is a black and silver metal plaque in the bottom center of the matte with the legend “Boston Red Sox 2007 World Series Champions”.
