$999.00

Historically significant Official International League baseball signed in black ink by 20 members of the Rochester Red Wings 1981 minor league team, including Doc Edwards (mgr., sweet spot), Cal Ripken Jr., Mike Boddicker, John Shelby, Bobby Bonner, Floyd Rayford, Chris Bourjois, Tom Chism, and Nate Snell. Ripken Jr. was called up from the Rochester farm team to join the Baltimore Orioles immediately following the 1981 players' strike and thus began his record-breaking streak of consecutive games played, long held by baseball's "Iron Horse," Lou Gehrig. A future first-ballot Hall of Famer, Ripken Jr. was voted Rookie of the Year in the International League during the 1981 season and was picked as the top major league prospect in a survey of league executives. The ball is overall in Excellent condition. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
