Presented here is an Official National League Ford C. Frick stamped baseball that has been signed by 26 members of the 1944 Chicago Cubs. The Cubs finished the season with a 75-79-3 record, which was good enough for fourth place in the National League. Hank Wyse and Claude Passeau have signed their names on the sweet spot. Other signatures include Stan Hack, Charlie Grimm, Andy Pafko, Paul Derringer, Bill Nicholson, Phil Cavarretta, Lou Novikoff, Dom Dallessandro, Hy Vandenberg, Joe Stephenson, Bob Chipman, Paul Gillespie, Red Lynn, Charlie Gassaway, Mack Stewart, Roy Hughes, Don Johnson, Bill Schuster, Frank Secory, Paul Erickson, Bill Fleming, Dewey Williams, Lennie Merullo and Roy Johnson.
