Atlanta Braves road uniform (jersey and pants) worn by Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones during his 1995 rookie season. Graded A10 by MEARS. The gray knit jersey is lettered "Braves" across the front and features the club's distinctive "Tomahawk" design appliquéd directly below. The number "10" appears on the reverse. "JONES" is lettered on the reverse above the number. All letters and numerals are appliquéd in red on blue tackle twill with the exception of the name, which is entirely in blue. A Braves "30th Season In Atlanta" anniversary patch appears on the left sleeve. Located on the left front tail is a "Russell Athletic 44" label. Jones has inscribed the jersey "Chipper Jones 10/1995 Game Used" in silver paint pen on the reverse numeral "0." The matching gray knit pants feature a "Russell Athletic 33" label in the waistband. Located next to the manufacturer's label is a white strip tag bearing Jones' uniform number ("10"), name, pants size and year ("33-30-95") printed in black lettering. Jones has inscribed the pants on the left leg, "Chipper Jones 10," in black marker. Both the jersey and pants are original as issued, with no alterations. According to the MEARS LOA, each garment displays heavy wear throughout. Jones batted .265 with 23 home runs and 86 RBI with the Braves in 1995, which marked his first full season in the majors. An eight-time All-Star and former National League MVP Award winner, Jones totaled at least 20 home runs and 100 RBI for eight straight seasons between the years 1996 and 2003. He finished his 19-year career (1993-2012) with 468 home runs, 1,623, and a .303 lifetime average. Jones is also the only switch hitter in history (with over 1,000 at bats) to hit over .300 from both sides of the plate. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018, his first year of eligibility. Graded A10 by MEARS. Full LOA from MEARS. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
