With the series tied at one game apiece in the 2003 American League Championship Series after the first two games were played at Yankee Stadium, the series shifted to Fenway Park for the pivotal Game 3. After Boston jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead, the Yankees chipped away to tie the game in the third and went ahead for good in the fourth inning with two runs.

This game is best remembered for the benches clearing after Red Sox Pedro Martinez threw a pitch behind Karim Garcia and Roger Clemens threw one up and in on Manny Ramirez which resulted in the benches emptying and Yankees’ bench coach Don Zimmer charging Martinez and Martinez tossing Zimmer to the ground.

After the dust settled, the Yankees held on to win 4-3 to take a 2-1 series lead. Derek Jeter went 2-for-4 with a solo home run to help lead the Yankees to victory. This offered Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball was used during this memorable game. This rubbed down baseball displays moderate use and Jeter has signed his name on the sweet spot in blue pen and inscribed “2003 ALCS Gm 3”. This baseball comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (MR224245) which authenticates that this ball was used during that game and a Steiner Sports LOA signed by Derek Jeter.

Great piece of history from the historic Aaron Boone Home Run Series.
