$2,995.00

"The championships, the money, the color, all of these things linger only in the memory. It is the spirit, the will to excel, these are the things that endure," said Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi. Taking over the 1-10-1 Green Bay Packers after the 1958 season, Lombardi quickly established a dynasty, a team that won five championships in his nine years as Green Bay's head coach, including the first two Super Bowls. Displayed is an NFL Wilson football signed by most of the top Green Bay Packer stars from the marvelous Lombardi era. There are 24 signatures, including nine Hall of Famers, on the white panels of the football. All are signed in ink with a ballpoint pen. The signatures include the following Hall of Famers: Paul Hornung, the Heisman Trophy winner from Notre Dame who was a triple threat halfback with the Packers; Ray Nitschke, the hard-hitting middle linebacker; Bart Starr, the steady quarterback; Willie Wood, the ball-hawking defensive back; mobile linebacker Dave Robinson; Jerry Kramer, the great guard (and sometimes placekicker) who led the famous Packer sweep along with Fuzzy Thurston; Forrest Gregg, great blocker, at both guard and tackle; Jim Taylor, fierce running fullback; and cornerback Herb Adderley, signing and inscribing his "26." Other stars signing include Max McGee, Boyd Dowler, Marv Fleming, Thurston, Lee Roy Caffey, Troy Brown, Bill "Red" Mack, Bob Long, signing and inscribing his "80," Tom Brown, who also played Major League baseball, and more. The ball is in great condition. The signed football is packed with Hall of Fame signatures, and it evokes memories of one of pro football's greatest dynasties.
