1968 Ohio State Buckeyes National Champions Game Used Football Mears COA

$2,495.00

It is fair to say that the 1968 Ohio State football team is one of the best teams fielded by the vaunted college football program. The team boasted 11 All-Americans, and six first-round NFL draft picks en route to an undefeated season that saw the Buckeyes upset No. 1 Purdue during the third game of the season. Led by quarterback Rex Kern and running back Jim Otis, the team defeated USC in the Rose Bowl, 27-16, to earn their last national championship until 2002.

Offered here is a game used Wilson Ohio State University football used during the 1968 season and an orange football tee signed by former NFL and Ohio State player Mike Sensibaugh. Sensibaugh's 22 interceptions over his career and nine interceptions during a season are still Ohio State records. The presented football is brown and features "Wilson" imprinted in black on two panels. "OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY" is imprinted in black below "Wilson" on one of the panels. "OFFICIAL TD INTERCOLLEGIATE" is imprinted in black on one of the panels. The ball displays extraordinary evidence of game use and contains various abrasions, scuff marks, and faint dirt stains. The item comes with an LOA from MEARS (318134), who gave the item the grade of "AUTHENTIC", along with an LOA from Mike Sensibaugh for the game use.
