Super Bowl LI is easily one of the most dramatic Super Bowl games in the history of the NFL, as it was the first to be decided in overtime. Nicknamed "28-3," Tom Brady led the New England Patriots in one of the greatest comebacks in Super Bowl history during the Patriots' 34-28 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium on Feb. 5, 2017. After the Atlanta Falcons scored three consecutive touchdowns to take a 21-3 lead at halftime, the Falcons increased their lead to 28-3 midway through the third quarter. Brady and the Pats responded by scoring 25 consecutive points, tying the game in the final seconds of regulation. The Patriots won the coin toss and marched downfield in typical Brady style, culminating in a James White touchdown that gave the Pats their fifth Super Bowl victory. Super Bowl LI had more than 30 records were either broken or tied by the time the game was over. Brady completed 43 of 62 passes for 466 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception, while also rushing for 15 yards. His completions, attempts, and passing yards were all single-game Super Bowl records. Brady was rewarded for his heroic effort by being named the Super Bowl MVP.
