Mike Ivie Signed 1974 Game Used First Baseman's Glove PSA DNA COA Giants RARE
An interesting character in modern baseball history, Mike Ivie was the number-one draft pick by the Padres in 1970, but ultimately became best known with the Giants. In 1978, Ivie belted four pinch-hit home runs, including a record-tying two pinch-hit grand slams. After a career-high 27 HRs and 89 RBIs the next year, he was in line to succeed Willie McCovey at first base, but a freak hunting accident partially severed one of Ivie's fingers and his career was never the same again. He drifted to the Astros and Tigers before retiring at the age of just 30. Offered is one of his well-used Rawlings gloves from those mid-1970s Padres days with the black-ink signature, "To Andy / My Number 1 fan! / Mike Ivie." Comes with full letter COA from PSA DNA. Letter states the glove shows "outstanding game use".
