During the four year period 1986-1989, the Denver Broncos made three trips to the Super Bowl as the AFC champions. Amidst this storied run, the Broncos slipped a bit in 1988, finishing an even 8-8 for the season. Even though this was a let down, fans can still welcome a host of the players that made Denver the top AFC team of the period, with this 1988 Broncos team-signed helmet with (57) signatures. The presence of the signatures of (3) players who did not make the final 1988 roster cut, suggests this team-issued helmet was signed sometime during the preseason or perhaps over a period of two seasons or more.
