Christian Yelich Game Used First Ever Players Weekend Jersey "YELI" MLB Auth
In 2017, Major League Baseball introduced a new promotion called “Players Weekend” where each team’s regular uniforms were substituted for a more contemporary design and instead of players regular names appearing on the jerseys, they would be replaced (or in cases like the Yankees) or added with a nickname.
This offered Majestic pullover Miami Marlins “Players’ Weekend” jersey was worn by 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich during the three-game home series on August 25th, 26th and 27th against the San Diego Padres. The Marlins picked up three victories that weekend and Yelich chipped in with a triple and a run scored. This jersey is a two-color teal torso and orange sleeves and is a size 44. “MARLINS” is sewn on across the chest in orange and black tackle twill. On the upper left chest is a black circle patch with the number “16” in white in honor of the late Jose Fernandez. The back of the jersey has “21” sewn on in orange tackle twill and “YELI” sewn on in white tackle twill. The right sleeve has a special “THANK YOU” patch with “Family”, “Mom” and “Brothers” is handwritten in black marker on the patch. The Majestic tags are screen-printed on the bottom front left tail, with one of the tags a barcode that reads “#21 2017 44 1132”. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JC183402).
