Curt Schilling Game Used 1991 Wilson Baseball Glove PSA DNA COA

$5,995.00

Sooner or later, Curt Schilling will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. When he does get voted in by the Veterans Committee, you’ll be glad you’re holding onto this 1991-1992 Schilling game-used glove. Too many BBWAA Hall of Fame voters have their heads stuck so far up in dark places, that all they can see is nasty business. Schilling was a magnificent moundsman, with a knack for rising to the occasion in big games. He was one of those rare horses who got better as games progressed into late innings, and he thrived by feeding off the cheers of the hometown fans.

This Wilson professional model 1668 glove dates from the labeling period 1991-1992, when Schilling was traded from the Houston Astros, to the Philadelphia Phillies. After a ho-hum season in the Astros bullpen in 1991, Schilling was transitioned to a starter by the Phillies in 1992, and had a breakout 14-11 season. The accompanying LOA cites outstanding game use, and player characteristics. In the “Provenance” section, the LOA states “This glove originates directly from a former member of the Philadelphia Phillies clubhouse staff, the glove was gifted by Schilling while a member of the Phillies pitching staff.” In the “Comments” section, it states “Images of Schilling circa 1993 show him on the mound with the same model glove.” One such photo is included with this offering, this is a “must-have” for die-hard “Phils Phans."
