Hall of Famer George Brett has contributed a bold blue signature across the obverse of this full ticket from the infamous "Pine Tar Game" between the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals on July 24, 1983. After Brett's would-be game-winning home run in the ninth inning, Yankees manager Billy Martin protested Brett's bat for having too much pine tar, annulling Brett's home run and leading to a Yankees victory. After a lengthy protest, the game was resumed on Aug. 18 from the point of Brett's home run, with Kansas City holding on for one of the wildest wins in baseball history. Ticket graded GD 2 by PSA with Autograph Certified and graded GEM MT 10 by PSA/DNA (65760275).
