1963 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Champs Team Signed Baseball Koufax PSA

$4,995.00

Emphatically demonstrating the "Age of the Pitcher" were the Dodgers of 1963. We might say that the franchise was best prepared for the 1960s as both leagues deadened the ball a bit and elevated the mound a few silly millimeters. The net results of all this were lower batting averages and reduced home run production. The first beneficiaries were Drysdale and Koufax. And as things shook out, Perranoski chose 1963 to ply a career performance. With such irresistible fire power, it's little wonder that Los Angeles claimed the National League's pennant and then went on to sweep New York in October (a bitter trouncing that the Yankees hadn't suffered since 1922). It was in a similar spirit of excellence that 28 of those Dodger champions penned this Official National League (Giles) ball in 1963. The ball is virtually perfect with pronounced stampings and an ideally white surface. As well, these are wonderfully distinct signatures . That this team signed ball dates to the '63 season is fully confirmed in the appearances of one-year Dodgers Marv Breeding, Ken Rowe, and Dick Calmus. Walt Alston and Leo Durocher inked the sweet spot, and then continuing about the panels we find Doug Camilli, Tommy Davis, Willie Davis, Don Drysdale, Ron Fairly, Al Ferrara, Jim Gilliam, Frank Howard, Sandy Koufax, Ken McMullen, Bob Miller, Wally Moon, Greg Mulleavy, Ron Perranoski, Johnny Podres, Pete Reiser, Pete Richert, Johnny Roseboro, Larry Sherry, Bill Skowron, Dick Tracewski, Lee Walls, and Maury Wills.
