Fifteen former Yankees including National Baseball Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Johnny Mize, Phil Rizzuto, and fellow stars Johnny Sain, Gil McDougald, Ed Lopat, Bill Miller, Allie Reynolds Don Bollweg, Bob Kuzava, Hank Bauer, Bob Kuzava, Ewell Blackwell and Billy Martin have penned their blue ink signatures across the entirety of the baseball, with Mickey Mantle and Ewell Blackwell signing the sweet spot (16 signatures). The 1953 Yankees are regarded as one of the greatest baseball teams ever assembled, and on October 5, 1953 they would secure the Yankees fifth-straight World Series title, a record that stands to this day.
