Offered is an Official American League baseball signed by 32 members of the 1961 World Series champion New York Yankees during a reunion of what many consider to be one of the greatest baseball teams in MLB history. Managed by Ralph Houk, the Yankees dominated their opponents, finishing the season with a remarkable 109-53 record and going on to defeat the Cincinnati Reds in five games during the 1961 World Series. The season was famously marked by the intense home run chase between Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle for the coveted single-season home run record held by Hall of Famer Babe Ruth, with Maris ultimately breaking the record by hitting 61 home runs. The ball is signed in blue ballpoint pen by Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, and Whitey Ford, with additional signatures from Rollie Sheldon, Jesse Gonder, Billy Gardner, Moose Skowron, Earl Torgeson, Hal Reniff, Tom Tresh, Bobby Richardson, Bob Turley, Ralph Houk, Joe DeMaestri, Ryne Duren, Bob Hale, Clete Boyer, Ralph Terry, Al Downing, Johnny Sain, Deron Johnson, Bob Cerv, Johnny James, Luis Arroyo, Bill Stafford, Bud Daley, Hector Lopez, Art Ditmar, Jack Reed, and Danny McDevitt. The ball is white with vibrant red stitching and clear signatures. Accompanied by an LOA from Beckett for the signatures.
