$749.00

The pitcher who holds the record for the shortest time between no-hitters is Johnny Vander Meer, the only pitcher in history to throw no-hitters in consecutive starts, while playing for the Cincinnati Reds in 1938. Besides Vander Meer, Allie Reynolds (in 1951), Virgil Trucks (in 1952), Nolan Ryan (in 1973), and Max Scherzer (in 2015) are the only other major leaguers to throw two no-hitters in the same regular season. Jim Maloney technically threw two no-hitters in the 1965 season, but his first one ended after he allowed a home run in the top of the 11th inning. According to the rules interpretation of the time, this was considered a no-hitter.

Presented is an Official National League (White) baseball signed by 5 guys who threw no-hitters in the same season. Nolan Ryan (5-15-73 & 7-15-73), Johnny Vander Meer on the sweet spot (6-11-38 & 6-15-38), Jim Maloney (6-14-65, 8-19-65 & 4-30-69), Allie Reynolds (7-12-51 & 9-28-51) and Virgil Trucks (5-15-52 & 8-25-52). Each signed the ball in blue/black ballpoint and added the dates of their magical feat. The ball itself shows mild toning from age.
