Magnificent President Lyndon B. Johnson Signed 1960's National League Baseball also signed by his Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey and Frank Sinatra.

Recall the great upheaval of the 1968 presidential election, with this baseball signed by Frank Sinatra, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Hubert H. Humphrey. The "Chairman of the Board" was heavily involved in the political scene. Along the way, Sinatra campaigned for FDR, Truman, Stevenson, JFK, LBJ, Humphrey, Nixon, and Reagan, for our nation's highest office. Turmoil surrounding the Vietnam War and the Civil Rights movement, led to Johnson's withdrawal from the 1968 campaign. Robert Kennedy was the front-runner for the Democratic Party nomination, however he was assassinated on 6/5/68. This opened the door for sitting vice president Humphrey to gain the Democratic nomination, though he lost to Nixon in the general election, which was held on 11/5/68.

Sinatra (d.1998) has signed the offered Official National League Giles baseball on the sweet spot. Written above Sinatra's signature is the date "11/3/68", which was just two days before the 1968 election, suggesting the signing took place during an event for a last minute push to get Humphrey elected. Humphrey (d.1978) has signed on the north panel of this nicely preserved ball, and Johnson (d.1973) has signed on the east panel. Bold blue ink autographs.

Comes with full letter LOA from James Spence/JSA.
