Dick Kazmaier 1951 Heisman Trophy Winner Signed Inscribed Princeton Jersey JSA

$399.00

For sale is an Eagle 100% Cotton Size Large Long-Sleeve Replica 1951 Princeton Tigers Football Jersey signed and inscribed by the 1951 Heisman Trophy Winner, Dick Kazmaier.

Kazmaier was an All-American halfback, quarterback, and kicker two years at Princeton and led the Tigers to their 15th and final National Championship in 1950. In addition to the Heisman, he was awarded college football’s Maxwell Award and the Associated Press Male Athlete of the year in 1951. In 1960, he was voted the Ivy League Athlete of the Decade and appeared on the cover of Time Magazine. Drafted by the Chicago Bears, Kazmaier opted not to play in the NFL. He died in 2013.

The jersey is an accurate replica of the iconic Tigers jersey (except in cotton instead of wool, and with Kazmaier’s name on back), in black with orange “tiger stripes” sewn into each sleeve. Kazmaier’s tackle-twill white number 42 is prominent on front and back.

Kazmaier signed his name in black fiber-tip pen on the number ‘4’ on the back of the jersey, and on the adjacent number ‘2’ added the inscription “Heisman 1951.”

The autograph was witnessed and authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA), and JSA affixed its tamper-resistant certification seal to the bottom of the number ‘4’ on the back of the jersey. A JSA Certificate of Authenticity is included.
