The late Hall of Fame Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has signed this Los Angeles Lakers commemorative "Back 2 Back Champions" jersey number display. The display commemorates the titles won by the Lakers in 2000 and 2001 (although a third would also come the following season), with victories over the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers. Bryant led the Lakers to a second pair of back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010 while winning a pair of Finals MVP awards and the 2007-08 NBA MVP trophy. Bryant retired after the 2015-16 season with career averages of 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
The beautiful 20 1/2-by-22-inch framed display features Bryant's number "8" over a faux-mesh matte in white-on-purple tackle twill. Images of Bryant on the court flank the number. "2000 2001 BACK 2 BACK CHAMPIONS" has been screen-printed onto the faux mesh below the number, while and NBA Finals patch has been affixed above the number. The top of the background has the legend "KOBE BRYANT," while the bottom of the background has the legend "LOS ANGELES LAKERS," both in white. Bryant has signed his number in black felt tip marker. The display comes with a COA and hologram from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAJ18558) for the signature.
