Negro League legend Willie Wells Sr. (d.1989) returns to the spotlight with this autographed 8x10 photo. Regarded as one of the best shortstops of his day, Wells was a five-tool star who was posthumously elected to the Hall of Fame in 1997. His international playing career spanned thirty years from 1924-1954 and he was a member of numerous teams in the U.S. Negro Leagues, Mexico, Cuba and Canada.
