MacGregor "Ridgewood Sports Shop" baseball signed by catcher Bob O'Farrell. He has signed the ball in blue ink across the sweet spot. The date "1954" is written below his signature. The signature of Bob O'Farrell alone on a baseball is exceedingly rare. This is just the second example we have seen in the past 20 years. O'Farrell played 21 years in the major leagues with four different teams (Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, and Cincinnati Reds), but he is best remembered today for throwing out Babe Ruth while attempting to steal second base for the last out of the final game of the 1926 World Series. O'Farrell also was named the National League MVP in 1926. The ball has light to moderate toning throughout and is in Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
