1942 St. Louis Cardinals World Series Champs Team Signed Sheet Stan Musial PSA
The 1942 St. Louis Cardinals’ 106-48 record was just enough edge out the Brooklyn Dodgers by two games for the National League pennant. After dropping the first game of the 1942 World Series to the New York Yankees, the Cardinals ran off four straight wins to complete the championship season.
Offered are two 6 x 7 ½ inch sheets that have been signed by 28 members of the 1942 World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals. The signatures have all been signed in black ink. Signatures on the first sheet include Jimmy Brown, Max Lanier, Estel Crabtree, Hall of Famer and manager Billy Southworth, Mike Gonzalez, “Whitey” Kurowski, Mort Cooper, Johnny Hopp, Clyde Shoun, Coaker Triplett, Buzzy Wares, Hall of Famer Stan Musial, Ken O’Dea and Lon Warneke.
The second sheet has the signatures in black ink of Howard Pollet, Terry Moore, Hall of Famer Enos Slaughter, Ray Sanders, Harry Breckman, Howard Krist, George, George Munger, Ira Hutchinson, Max Surkont, Gus Mancuso, Harry Gumbert, Erv Dusak, Walker Cooper and Ernie White. These pages come with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB01014) for the signatures. Please note that PSA/DNA lists 36 signatures in their LOA. Only two pages and 28 signatures of the original four pages are offered but are still covered by PSA/DNA's authentication.
