The real appeal of this baseball is the rare and early signature of Hall of Famer Ted Williams, who played with the Padres during their PCL-winning season, batting .291 with 23 home runs. Other signatures on the ball include those of Tommy Thompson, Eddie Mulligan, James "Tiny" Chaplin, George Detore, Herman Pillette, Bill Starr, Ernie Holman, and Jimmie Reese.
