1984 Tony Gwynn Game Worn Signed San Diego Padres Jersey.

If there there was a preferred style of Tony Gwynn gamer, this would be it. Never has the color combination of dull brown, yellow and orange looked better as than with this "Wilson size 44" game worn home jersey. There are several reasons why this is the Gwynn game-worn jersey for the elite collector. The left sleeve contains the initials "RAK" in remembrance of team owner, and founder of McDonald's, Ray Kroc. This was also a special season for the Padres as they advanced to the World Series for the first time in franchise history. For Gwynn, it was noteworthy as he won his first Silver Slugger and topped the Senior Circuit with a sparkling .351 average.

The home gamer shows good Big League use with noticeable puckering on the now-retired three-color tackle twill digits. The wear is consistent with a jersey worn for half a season. "Padres" is expressed across the chest. Brown/orange/yellow trim surrounds the neck and both arm inserts. A period Wilson size tag resides in the collar while a single "19 84" swatch (player number and year) is located in the tail. Gwynn signed the reverse number in black felt tip.
