1931 Tour Of Japan Team Signed Baseball With Lou Gehrig PSA DNA & Beckett COA

$14,995.00

1931 Major League All-Stars Tour of Japan Team Signed Baseball.

The 1934 Tour was the more famous of the two Depression-era baseball excursions to the Land of the Rising Sun, and the population of available relics bears this out. Material from the 1931 Tour is considerably more scarce, and this is one of the exemplars which survived.

Spalding Official National League (Heydler) baseball is signed by fifteen of America's finest baseball ambassadors, including Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig, Al Simmons, Mickey Cochrane, Rabbit Maranville, Lefty Grove and George "High Pockets" Kelly. Others include Lefty "Doul, Larry French, Muddy Ruel, Bruce Cunningham, Ralph Shinners, Tom Oliver, Willie Kamm, John Reardon (umpire), and Herb Hunter (co-manager).

The ball was originally part of the personal collection of Muddy Ruel and a letter of provenance (copy only) from the ball's previous owner attends. Letter of provenance from Michael Barry (copy).
Comes with Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
