Program issued for a testimonial dinner given in honor of Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio in 1939, signed twice by him. The signatures, scripted in pencil, appear on the front cover and interior page. DiMaggio has added the inscription "To my friend Jimmy Pallanto" above his signature on the interior page. The program cover features an illustrated image of a generic ball player. As noted on the interior, the dinner, which was given by "His New Jersey Fans," was held at the Essex House on October 2, 1939. The eight-page program (6.5 x 9.75 inches) displays minor handling wear and is in Excellent condition overall. Accompanied by the original ticket to the event. Adding to the significance of the piece is its provenance. The offered program originates from DiMaggio's estate and comes with an LOA signed by each of DiMaggio's two granddaughters attesting to its special provenance. Comes with PSA DNA COA.
