1950's Pee Wee Reese Signed Game Used Baseball Inscribed "Little Captain" JSA
Hall of Fame shortstop Pee Wee Reese has signed and inscribed this Official National League Game Used baseball. Reese, a star for the Dodgers from 1940 to 1958, played all but one of his 16 seasons in Brooklyn and was a key member of the Dodgers World Series champion team in 1955. The 10-time All-Star was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. Reese has signed the sweet spot of this baseball simply as “Pee Wee”. On the panel west of the sweet spot, Reese inscribed “Dear Fred / Keep this as a little memento from the Little Captain / Love”. This ball was likely used in a special game. This red stitched baseball shows a great deal of game use, however Reese’s blue pen signature displays beautifully. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA (X94482).
