During a 10-year run (1949-1958) marked by pinstriper rule, the only Bronx Bomber team not to advance to the World Series was the winningest, as 103 wins in 1954 were no match for the Cleveland Indians. But the Cleveland Indians were no match for the New York Giants, who swept the Tribe in four straight to win their first crown since 1933. This baseball is autographed by (27) members of that Polo Grounds roster. The Official National League (Giles) presents beautifully. Blue ballpoint pennings include: Sweet Spot: Durocher (clubhouse) and Katt; North Panel: Dark, Giel, Rhodes, Willie Mays, Grissom, Hoyt Wilhelm, Spencer and Liddle; South Panel:Thompson, Amalfitano, Castleman, Corwin, McCall, Taylor and Westrum; West Panel: Monte Irvin, Williams, Konikowski, Antonelli, Gardner, Lockman and Mueller; East Panel: Gomez, Hearn, Worthington and Maglie.
