1973-74 Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup Trophy Presented To Bobby "Chief" Taylor

$19,995.00

A Stanley Cup champion with Philadelphia in both 1974 and 1975, Bobby “Chief” Taylor first joined the Broad Street Bullies in 1971-72, and through parts of five seasons, played in a total of 43 games. Winning an impressive 50 games in 1973-74, the Flyers would slip past both Atlanta and the Rangers in the postseason before an epic Stanley Cup final against the Boston Bruins that was won by Philly in 6 games. In a tradition going back to 1958, these mini Stanley Cup trophies were awarded to members of championship teams, with the offered example presented to Bobby “Chief” Taylor.

Standing a majestic 13” and mounted to a wooden base with green felt underside, the names of the men who made it happen are engraved beneath Flyers executives, with “Philadelphia Flyers” and “1973-74” engraved above. The wooden base shows surface wear and paint loss with a small crack visible, and it is currently detached from the trophy, with this easily rectifiable with a few small nails as originally used. The trophy itself shows some minor surface wear and scratches with a dent to the trophy just beneath and to the left of “Philadelphia”, with a second small dent to the top bowl. From Bobby Taylor’s personal collection, his signed LOA will accompany.
