Thurman Munson's tragic demise in 1979 has left very few signed cards from his playing days available. A perennial American League MVP candidate (he would snag the award in 1976) and Yankees team captain (their first since Lou Gehrig!), Munson backstopped the mid 70's Yankees juggernauts that made three straight World Series appearances, winning baseball's ultimate crown in 1977 and 1978. A true Bronx Bombers legend, there are only three signed 1975 Topps Munson cards in the PSA/DNA pop report. This particular example is the sole one with a numerical grade assigned, garnering a 5. A wonderful and difficult autographed card from both a popular team and set.
