1983-84 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cups Champs Team Signed Jersey Wayne Gretzky JSA

$7,999.00

The 1983-84 Edmonton Oilers sought to exact their revenge on the New York Islanders in the Stanley Cup Finals after the Islanders had dashed Edmonton's hopes at their first-ever Stanley Cup title the previous season. Spurred by Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Grant Fuhr, Paul Coffey, and Jari Kurri, the Oilers ended the Islanders' dynastic run of four straight Cups to kick off their own dynasty of four straight, ushering in a new era of NHL dominance centered on the Alberta-based squad north of the border.

Presented is an authentic Reebok Edmonton Oilers "Re-United" jersey containing 31 signatures from members of the Stanley Cup-winning 1983-84 team. The first reunion for the 1983-84 squad held at Rexall Place (now known as Rogers Place) in Edmonton, the jersey was signed by the 31 members at the behest of then-mayor Don Iveson and his wife Sarah Chan on the night of the reunion on Oct. 10, 2014.  Notable signatures include Hall of Fame greats Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, and Grant Fuhr. Other recognizable signatures include Don jackson, Ken Linseman, Pat Conacher, Rick Chartraw, and more. The jersey comes with a COA from JSA (Z44378) for signature.
